Additional Services
Redemption  Academy reserves the right to add these additional services in response to a review of any of our students’ previous and current academic records and performances.

If additional services are required, Redemption Academy offers the following services:

Social Skills Group:   $100.00 a month.  Group meets once a week to develop social skills ($50.00 for December and June respectively)

Friends Program:  One day a week after school friendship program:   $100.00 a month.  Group meets once a week in the afternoon to do social activities in the community. ($50.00 for December and June respectively)

Accommodations Management (Student Support Services Coordination):  $1500,00 a year.  The Student Service Coordinator will review the academic progress of the child who is identified by the administration as an additional support enrollment. 

Representation at IEP or 504 Meetings:  $30.00 an hour for three hour meetings if Redemption Academy's administrative presence is requested by the public school for the continuance of a student's IEP or 504 program..

Educational Aide:  Redemption Academy provides EAs for students who may require additional personal academic one-to-one support. The cost for an Educational Aide is $20.00 per hour.  The EA will work alongside of the student in the classroom.  For example, if the administration and parents agree that the child needs an EA in math, the EA will be in the math class during the math period and work alongside of the student.  We usually focus on having EAs in Language Arts and Math classes.  Because of our academic program and curriculum, we can require a child to have an EA at parents’ expense if the child is performing two years below his or her enrolled grade.

Testing Fees:  $150.00 per test/inventory.  

Homework Club:  Cost determined by individual teacher per service rendered.  One hour after school.

Workshop:  Group Seminars.  The workshop is $10.00 per half at least once or twice a week.  The student will work with the teacher in group settings, emphasizing specific areas of deficiencies or need for enrichment.

Intensive Tutoring:  The cost is $15.00 per half hour, frequently determined by the administration of the school in consultation with teachers and parents.

Special Education Cluster:  The cost is $20.00 per cluster session.

Transitional Tutoring:  Students who enter our program after the month of August will be required to take transitional tutoring in order to satisfy any pre-requisites for existing courses and classes.  The cost is $20.00 per session.

Behavioral Health Support Consultation:  Redemption Academy uses the independent service of Tom Welter for behavior health support consultation.  Tom Welter takes insurance coverage with HMSA, TriCare, TriWest, Medicaid, Quest, Aloha Care, and other major insurance carriers.

Neuropsychology referral:  Redemption Academy refers students to Dr. Ann Palozzi, licensed psychologist in the State of Hawaii.  Dr. Palozzi is a neuropsychologist and is involved with psychological testing and assessment.  Dr. Palozzi takes most insurances.  She has an office in the Kailua area.  In addition to neuropsychological testing, she will assist Redemption Academy initially with addressing some of the concerns involving the child’s learning process. Redemption Academy reserves the right to require additional services deemed necessary for our students as part of our program which encourages academic progress. The administration represented by its staff and in consultation with parents and teachers will help to address these additional needs.
